Space to land battles would be kind of cool. Keep preset classes, don't go CoD. Provide a 3rd person (although I'm hearing that won't happen).

The only thing I hate about Destiny is the lack of private matches, so in that sense yes I would be very pissed if SWBF was like Destiny.

That said it would be amazing to have an open world PVE game in the Star Wars universe.

They also confirmed there will be third person in the new game, so I don't know where you heard that.

I agree with the preset classes. Grunt. Sniper. Engineer. Heavy Class. The problem is how do you incorporate customization of weapons into that. It's the newest generation and every shooter needs customization. The armour is easy though.

I think it would be best to give the classes different weapon choices. Whether that's a higher fire rate, better accuracy, etc. Just lock rifles to grunts only, heavy weapons to the heavy classes, and so on. The big customization just needs to be around adding attachments to the guns.

I saw Dice's Alpha version of the game. It shot lasers and it was terrible.

It actually doesn't require much digging to find gun names and types, quite a few clone wars books themselves list the guns being used by the trooper or trooper's in question at the time.  It's also on the web if you know what names to search for, so that wouldn't be hard.  The armor is also is listed, what's different between ARC's and regular troopers for example.  There is also attachments listed in some of the books too.

I wouldn't be pissed off if SWBF was like Destiny, but I do think it'd take away from what Battlefront is.  Battlefront wasn't a PvE game.

I know its not likely, but i really hope they keep Jedi apart of the game. Jedi is really the only major thing that set it apart from swbf1 because we can all agree alot of aspects of con on swbf1 is better than swbf2. I hope they actually saw how competitively Jedi-and con for that matter- were played in order to play to its strengths: ramps, rolling, class specificity, tumbling,etc.. I think if they used mechanics from The Force Unleashed they could make something that wouldn't be clunky and even involve aesthetic customization, giving Jedi the ability to be a strong competitive community like on ps2.

I wouldn't call Destiny a disappointment. Maybe it was to you, but it's overall reception was above average.

SWBF as a Destiny game would be fun at first but it lacks that team vs team competition.

They sold 4 worlds, with like 20 missions and a free roam, 6 strikes, a raid, and full multiplayer for 60 bucks, and added an expansion for 20 bucks that gave even more.

If you were expecting Destiny to be massive you were setting yourself up for disappointment, it was bigger than I expected it to be. But either way I learned long ago to not have high expectations for games, just play what they chose to make.

I was expecting to get what was advertised. Some of the content included in Dark Below was advertised for the base game.

Plus from a gameplay perspective, the gunplay is stilted and boring, the lack of public matchmaking basically locks out a massive amount of content, the game is one long grind, and there is no real story to speak off.

The game had massive hype, but it fell so far from the hype. Worse than Watch_Dogs or Assassin's Creed Unity even.

I don't know about that, Unity was pretty bad in my opinion. Only worth the co-op play and even then on PC it had so many bugs and issues it wasn't even funny.

I'm actually of the opinion that I'd prefer DICE to stick with what they know instead of trying something too ambitious, at least for their first SWBF.

SWBF1 and 2 were basically reskinned Battlefield 1942 in third person. I wouldn't terribly mind if SWBF3 played like Battlefield 4.

SWBF is the only Star Wars games that haven't flopped and gotten alot of recognition. I think they should play it safe and stick to what has worked, while letting current popular games influence swbf3 a bit.

KOTORS is the only Star Wars game that has been successful, followed by The Force Unlease. Although the later wasn't that hot.
