There's been plenty of successful Star Wars games, the reception is always critical due to the nature of the community though.

Do people really want the same thing as it always has been? You just want the same layout and mechanics as SWBF2 but with better graphics? A Star Wars game made for the sake of Star Wars?

It would be cool to have a modern co-op pve experience, but my main concern is having a game with classes and the ability to run a competitive community on said game.

It also wouldn't work because you couldn't add hero's or villains to the game. They're on a different tier of skills. And if you did have access, no one would want to play the troops when you can be a jedi/sith god.

Yes, of course I want fucking SWBFIII to be played in the same realm and style as the other games in the franchise. Why the hell would I want the 3rd installment in a very successful franchise to have zero resemblance to its predecessors except for in name?

Just keep them as two seperate modes, I'd even remove the current option of hero's even on in servers.

What I'd like is a more updated version of what we have now, with more guns, armor, etc. For players to use. Basically I'd love to see the ability to create a character suited to you, then with different guns to support the role you play. Same goes for Jedi, or at least a more diverse field of characters since it's only 3 characters a side used, and villains only has one pusher as we all know.

I think questioning people wanting the same game is foolish, everyone does. I know their is a topic on this very forum from months ago where most of the players said exactly that.

Or the Hero system could stay the same as it was in SWBF2. That worked pretty well. Most servers kept them on.

Huh? KOTOR is a completely different game, I don't see how they'd balance Jedi and shooters like KOTOR when it is a turn based style rpg and SWBF is a third person shooter... Anyways I think Jedi should be a separate game mode you don't always need an op jedi general on the field taking out the masses, and I've always felt like the main goal of battlefront in general is to put you in the shoes of a regular soldier and experience the battle from their perspective. The point was that they made soldiers and Jedi more equal..........

Well yes, you wouldn't want heroes on in competitive matches. But for just public games I don't remember any server that had them off. It was normally first player to 30 kills unlocked them for both teams.

I always thought there was never an equal balance, especially in the TD off servers. Either the hero ran over everyone for 15 minutes or they just got suicide mined by a rocket who of coursed lived through it. Perhaps it was a good idea but poor in practice due to how the servers were run.

Right. But I'm thinking that the new gen heroes will be OP. And the thought of earning upgrades from leveling up with a hero sounds absurd.
