1. Go to nfoservers.com
2. Order Tab at the top - select Virtual Machine/VPS
3. Select single core
4. Whatever location floats your boat
5. Traditional Unmanaged VDS
6. Initial OS - set as Windows Server 2008 or 2012

I wouldn't add any of the options.  They'll install it for you and let you know when it's ready.  When it is go to the control panel and log-in.

1. Click the "VNC Console" tab - a remote screen should show up.
2. It works just like your desktop/laptop computer.  Install the SWBFII Dedicated PS2 server files, and run like you would off your computer (The SM not the RM).

Any questions, ask me - I'll try to help.

What's the bandwidth and ping timings for this host? Also, cost per month?

Is the current BFC server on this service?

Don't remember the bandwidth, but the pings were usually around 70-100 as it was a Chicago based server. It costs about $20 a month to run their basic computer, and yes the BFC was on that server for the past month.

They have there bandwith information (here)

The cheapest server they have is this plan at 9.99

Linux only Single core

One full, dedicated HT CPU core (Nehalem or better)
1024 MB of RAM
100 GB of RAID-protected storage
4000 GB of bandwidth transfer
Restricted to Linux installs
No SSD or extra-memory options

Why does the BFC server go offline as often as it does with this service? Also, I assume you can set-up remote administrators as well.

We think the server goes into a "low power" mode when left unattended (which I tried to remedy in the power settings, like you would a typical computer - no dice). I don't think we're using the server for hosting as they designed it to, so this low power mode would otherwise not affect the typical user - but it shuts down our server.

Yes, you can include RM clients.

Seems like the server goes into hibernation mode or something similar after six hours of not being physically used. All I had to do to keep it up was have the admin panel open on my browser.

So there is no way to prevent this other than keeping the client open?

A-Hole figured out it was just the server's power/screensaver settings so it should be up 24/7 from now on.
