Alright, so recently I've been experimenting with the modding of SWBF2 a bit more, and as of right now I'd like some ideas as to what to try to put into the release of them. I will only be modding hunt maps and the CIS/Republic. Empire and rebels will not ever be touched or looked at because they are the primary factions used for battles here at the BFC and I do not wish for genuine battles to be destroyed or tampered with. All mods are meant for training or fun. Cheating is intolerable. As of right now I am drastically changing the Republic and CIS characters and vehicles, so please voice your suggestions and it may find its way into the mod release! Thank you! =D

Also, do not suggest flying tanks! I already have them and they will be in the final mod, tweaked to near perfection! Be creative! You know never know what might work! ;D

One last thing! It's nearly impossible to give say, a grunt mines or a rocket. The reason is because majority of the time, the game will freeze when applied or the server will crash. Besides that, suggest away!

Regrettably that can't be done to my knowledge. I could be wrong however, but I do not believe that it is possible without freezing your PS2. Sorry XD

Can you make the acklay, the monster thing from Felucia playable? Or make it appear on the map like jawas on Mos E?


How about messing with the Rancor on Jabbas so that it can maybe move, or take damage and be killed? Maybe you could make a boss fight on Jabbas if it had a lot of health lol.

EDIT: Playing as an acklay is possible on the PC version

I have messed with modding a little bit too recently and did a few things I thought not possible, most were made for my own enjoyment but I have no problem with sharing.

-I replaced the flag on several maps with offline items from the career mode,
 such as the disk in Deathstar and Tantive, Blue dna tube in Kamino, another
 disk on Geonosis, and the bomb beacon on Hoth. These items function like
 flag in every way, +1, +10, and have a default 50 second respawn if
 dropped. Easily done; open the map file and search com_item_flag and
 overwrite the name of the item that exists in the map, they can be found in
 the odf's. Some maps have items but will give nothing, not even the
 standard flag.
-I made all buffs work on enemies and team mates, and last a matter of
 minutes, poison can be modded to teamkill and kill, including yourself.
-I gave all tanks very weak health, it is fun to snipe Snowpeeders in 1 hit.
-AI hero mod, not my invention, allows AI to use the hero, but can have
 1-3 at once,, open the mission file and make every instance of
 AddUnitClass, into SetHeroClass. Humans can no longer access the hero,
 and heroes must be set to off in the server before the AI use them.

When it comes to suggestions, I would like to know/see if natives forces(Gungans, Wampas) could be made to spawn in conquest modes, and to see factions controlling opposites of map for maps like Jabbas and Tan4 ctf, example; Empire beginning in window room in Tantive ctf.

I knew of all the buffs, the tank health things, and the AI using heroes, but I had not found out the flag could be replaced with those. Very interesting find Undercover, you should speak to me sometime. There's a lot of stuff to still be found apparently.. XD

Having the enemy spawn at a different location would just mean you have to change the starting CPs from being owned by Rebels to Empire or vice versa. 

We have yet to find a way to make the gungans/wampas spawn on conquest however, if we could it would be possible to spawn Acklay as well. But it typically results in the PS2 freezing when the map is switched, or when joining the server. But I'm still exploring possibilities. Thank you for the ideas sir!

Regrettably impossible on PS2 Firehazard. Been tried hundreds of times, just freezes the game xD

I've tried the admin commands on PS2. And yes, it is possible with a modded disc. But since none of you, nor I, posses a modded PS2 to play them on, it is impossible sir.
