PostSubject: 6v6 CS Tournament Rules   Wed Jun 19, 2013 2:10 am

The 6v6 Class Specific Tournament will follow the standard BFC rules except where these rules override.  Any questions on the rules, please ask me, and I will clarify.  Depending on the number of teams this will be round robin/double elimination.  Sign-ups begin June 24th with the tournament beginning July 1st.

~All matches must be 6v6 CS style (1 grunt, 1 sniper, 1 rocket, 1 engineer, 1 8 pt. special, 1 12 pt. special)
~This means one person does not play mortar, and other plays Bothan/Darkie.  One person plays Bothan/Imp officer, other plays Darkie/Wookie
~That person unlocks their class with a grunt/sniper and may freely rotate (after dying, no spawn switching classes)
~Class tags must be worn, it gets confusing without them.  G - Grunt, S - Sniper, R - Rocket, E - Engineer, O - 8 pt. special (officer), S2 - 12 pt. special
~You must play the duration of the battle at that class, however, if needed you may sub-out players after a map.  Usual lag out rules still apply.  No switching classes mid-battle for any reason.
~LSJ, Battle Arena, MOC, and BFC Lockdown are the approved servers for the US side of things.  However, if no one can agree, BFC Lockdown is the default for US vs. US.
~For EU vs. US, Battle Arena may be used to allow for a more fair matchup with West Coasters in battle
~If you leave your clan, you are ineligible for the rest of the tournament
~NO RECONS
~You MAY switch to the specials after you earn enough points for them, however, you may not switch to get the spawn glitch advantage

There was some confusion about being allowed to switch classes to special when you earn enough points if you haven't died. In the MoC vs. R we played without switching to specials unless you died. That rule is kind of silly. You MAY switch to the special class once you have enough points. Just do not use it as a spawn glitch advantage and do not switch back mid-life. That should be the only time you have to switch mid-life.

More confusion apparently. You do not play mortar OR special. One person plays as 8 pt special THE ENTIRE BATTLE (bothan/imp officer). One person plays as 12 pt special THE ENTIRE BATTLE (wookie/darkie). There is NO SUCH THING AS A "MORTAR" PLAYER.
